49.82 Kwp Warehouse Pv System

McBride's Cold Storage, Oswestry

  • November 2015

Project Description

We were approached by Gordon McBride of S.A.W McBride & Sons Ltd to discuss ways to reduce the amount of imported electricity that the cold storage warehouse uses. Due to the continuous use of the refrigerator units, warehouse lighting requirements, and also the charging of electric fork lift trucks the energy usage was extremely high during the day - making it ideal to install a solar pv system to reduce the need to import as much electricity as possible.
The system comprises of SolarEdge optimised inverters meaning that it maximises the energy generation possible from the array, whilst also providing a full monitoring portal which will indicate if there are any system problems immediately by "pin-pointing" the location of any issues/faults exactly.

We will be re-visting them soon to change the large warehouse lamps with energy efficient LED replacements, saving them even more on their bills...

We were impressed by what we had heard from another business about these guys, and even more so after dealing with them for this project - in fact we then decided to have Go Green Systems install the same type of system again on our enginnering workshop hangar..."
